GREEN GREEKS REPRESENTATIVES

For the 2018-2019 academic year, Green Greeks has representation from 18 of the 27 different chapters living within the Greek Leadership Village. Our hopes are to get one representative from all the chapters within the GLV throughout the year. While this year Green Greeks has focused on GLV representation, we strongly encourage and hope all chapters on campus become representatives, whether they be panhellenic, IFC, multicultural, or business oriented.

All representatives work in cohorts with 2-3 other representatives, where they brainstorm potential on or off-campus projects, help council apply for grant funding, GLV usage monitoring, marketing, or anything else they wish to pursue. Representatives also act as a liaison for their chapters, where they let their members know about new Green Greeks initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and help educate their members through workshops and chapter led projects/initiatives.

While we only have one ‘main’ representative from each chapter, we allow other chapter members to fully participate if they wish to get involved. Long-term, Green Greeks is hoping representatives work with their individual chapter’s council to create a sustainability committee within their chapter that identifies their chapter’s own progress towards sustainability.
